WWE Superstar Carmella Details A Heartbreaking Experience With An Unexpected Pregnancy Months After Miscarrying Early
Carmella wrote on Instagram: “For anyone dealing with ANY type of pregnancy loss, I want you to know your feelings and emotions are valid, there is NOTHING wrong with you and you are not alone.”
In a comment on Carmella’s Instagram post, her husband, WWE commentator Corey Graves, said: “I love you so much, and I’m proud of you.”
The WWE superstar suffered another pregnancy loss a month after an early miscarriage. An Instagram post by Carmella (Real Name: Leah Van Dale) featuring a photo of her lying in a hospital bed, hours ago, shared the tragic news by the 35-year-old wrestler herself. A lengthy note accompanied as she went on to explain how she was treated for an ectopic pregnancy – a pregnancy that occurs outside the uterus.
Carmella Describes Her Experience With An Ectopic Pregnancy
The brave actress revealed on Instagram that she decided to share her painful story as October marks Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month by documenting her hard journey: “I’ve been on the fence about posting this because I’m not seeking sympathy, but because it’s the last day of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, I wanted to share my story.” I was treated for an ectopic pregnancy today.”

Carmella said she recently watched a comedy special with husband and WWE commentator Corey Graves titled Iliza Shlesinger: Hot Forever, in which the popular comedian spoke openly about miscarriage: “The reason I’m sharing all of this is because at the moment it feels so isolating. Why don’t people ever talk about this??
Last week, my husband and I watched @iliza’s new comedy special, which featured her openly discussing her miscarriage. My heart broke. Her point was that we need to talk openly about this topic so that we, as women, don’t blame ourselves or think we’re damaged. I want to do the same. I am a part of this statistic.”
Finally, Carmella – who also shared some uplifting quotes posters about grief, coping with losing a baby – shared a poignant message for pregnant women: “I am not seeking sympathy; I know I will eventually recover from this. My message to anyone who has suffered a loss of pregnancy is that your feelings and emotions are valid, that there is nothing wrong with you, and that you are not alone.”
Carmella’s recovery is our top priority, and we hope she is back to 100% soon.
“I’m very proud of you,” Corey Graves tells Carmella
Carmella’s husband Corey Graves posted this sweet message in the comments section, saying, “I love you so much. I’m so proud of you.” Carmella’s good friends in WWE, The Bella Twins, also joined in with their wishes. Nikki Bella said, “I’m so sorry Leah, I can’t even imagine how painful this must be for you right now. My prayers are with you. Thank you for being open and honest about this. It is important for us women to lean on each other when we face these situations. Love you,” Brie Bella responded, “I’m so sorry!! You’re so brave to talk about it!! I’m sending you a lot of love.”
I am so proud of you for speaking up and bringing awareness to this matter,” said Barbie Blank, also known as WWE’s Kelly Kelly. “I’m so sorry, Leah, but no one can prepare you for losing your baby.” The most heroic thing you could ever do, Big E wrote, “I’m so sorry, Leah.” While Naomi commented, “wish I could hug you now love you sis,” Natalya replied, “Leah, I’m thinking about you. I love you dearly.”
