An American professional basketball team, Sparks fired coach, and Gm, Derek Fisher: Sparks announced that the head coach and general manager, Derek Fisher are no longer part of our team as he got fired from the team on Tuesday. Derek Fisher joined the Spark team before the 2019 season and achieved the GM title after one year.   And he has over his career with a 54-46 record as a coach. Assistant Fred Williams will take the charge of head coach in the team.

Eric Holoman (managing partner) said in a statement,”  after a long discussion about the state of the team, Sparks, we and the head/Gm Derek Fisher have decided to part ways”.  Further, he added,”  on the behalf of all team,  I want to thank Derek Fisher for his struggles and work for the shake of the Spark Franchise. We wish him to move forward in his career.   We have great belief in Assistant Fred Williams will be proved beneficial for the team.  And we are hoping him to bring a wealth of experience leading WNBA teams”.

The Sparks missed last season’s playoffs for the first time since 2011 and strengthened their roster by adding All-Star Liz Cambage in the offseason. They had to face a difficult time to start the season with nine of their first 12 games on the road.  He won the five titles as a player in the Lakers.  The talented personality worked as a coach of the Knicks before joining position on the   Spark team as a coach.  The team also won a playoff game in Fisher’s tenure in Los Angeles.

Derek Fisher made a statement to the Spark franchise,”  I  am thankful to all the members, staff, organization and folks to allow me to be a part of the best franchise for last four years. I spent a great time and enhanced my skills”.  He added, that the entire team is too supportive and allowed me to cover the path to the head coach of the team in the shot time.  I have been feeling happy with working 4 years with the historic franchise. The team offered me circumstances to make me fit to enjoy the best opportunities in the future.  Lots of thank you to all”.

The former coach of the Spark cleared that,” I and the team spark have parted their with mutual understanding as I  also want to shift my focus to other opportunities for the growth of my career. And I wish the Spark team also remains top on the list all over the world”.
