Despite Negative Reviews, Acharya’s Day 1 Received A Big Collection: Tollywood action drama Acharya was released on the screen on Friday. And now become a hot topic for the fans as they were anticipated waiting for the movie but the movie was not able to fulfil their expectation. The movie was enacted by the superhit stars of the Telugu cinema as Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi, Pooja Hegde, Jisshu Sengupta, and Vennela Kishore. And actor Sonu Sood is leading a negative role in the movie.


It is directed by Koratala Siva. The successful directors and famous superstars’ presence made the movie popular among the fans before its release but it didn’t work well in the cinema and got lots of mixed reviews from the critics. Some critics are upset with the narration of the movie and poor music while some have praised its song “Banjara song” sung by Shankar Mahadevan and Rahul.


As per the critics, the first half of the movie is too boring but the other half is interesting and decent.

The performance of the actor Ram Charan, item some performed by Regina Cassandra and the climax made the audience enjoy the movie till the end otherwise it will be difficult to watch a complete movie in the cinema with the audience. Critics also toned the director by commenting it was his worst film forever.


The movie has been launched in over 2,000 theatres worldwide. Bookings are also available 4 days ago. The movie hit about 355 screens in the Nizam region, 520 screens in Andhra Pradesh, and 260 screens in Ceded. Many screens also have been booked in India for releasing the movie.


The advance booking of the movie proved a boon for the movie to gross more than 12.50 crores. As per the sources, the movie collected 25 crores on the first day of its release.


You will be shocked to know the pre-release business for Acharya was Rs 136 crore. The team got the 113.5 crores from the sale of theatre distribution rights for Andhra and Telangana. Despite the unfavourable response and comments, the movie got a big collection but still, they are at loss. The film needs to collect Rs 240 crore more to earn sufficient profit for the entire team.


However, the producer and directors and the rest team are upset with the unexpected failure of the movie on the big screens. And as per the agreement, the movie will be released on the OTT platform later.
